We understand that society as a whole is struggling during these difficult times. Healthcare professionals and employees of essential businesses continue to put themselves at risk while others are doing their part by following health guidelines to prevent the spread of this global pandemic. We all play an important role in fighting COVID-19.

At Yummi Candles we have decided to enhance our support to the community by manufacturing safe, high-quality hand sanitizer to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. As such, we have redirected resources and have retooled parts of our candle facility to manufacture this critical product. With the help of the valued employees of our family business, we have begun supplying Canadians at this time of need. We have decided to focus on manufacturing the WHO recommended 80% ethanol-based hand sanitizer solution which contains more of the critical medical ingredient required to be effective. Most blends available are at the minimum standard of 60% or 70% alcohol. Our blend is at the 80% level using only plant-based grain ethanol.

We plan to commit to large scale production for the long run. Beyond fighting COVID- 19, the availability of this key product will provide safer environments and practices for all of us when we begin returning to our new normality.
